Teams at Progressions Behavioral Health Services

Manages the utilization review department and supervises Treatment Engagement Specialists. Conducts concurrent reviews and prior authorizations for psychiatric and substance use treatment, applying medical necessity and ASAM criteria. Coordinates with clinical, finance, and payer teams; manages appeals, denials, documentation quality, authorization tracking, staff training, scheduling, and process development. Maintains payer relationships and ensures timely, accurate communication and compliance.

Provide direct patient care to adults with chemical dependency and co-occurring mental health disorders. Support unit programming, supervise therapeutic and recreational activities, conduct searches and drug screens, document interactions, maintain safety and infection control, communicate patient issues to clinical staff, and assist in training new employees.
