Teams at Primary Weapons Systems

Operate CNC mills and lathes to fabricate parts from engineering drawings; inspect parts before, during, and after machining; perform operator-level CNC maintenance; use measurement tools; maintain clean, organized workspace and follow lean manufacturing principles.

Sets up and changes over CNC lathes, mills, and multi-axis machines for production. Gathers tooling and fixtures, loads and verifies programs, aligns work-holding, runs first-piece inspections, and confirms jobs meet print requirements before handoff to operators. Troubleshoots setup issues, communicates discrepancies, maintains organized tooling, follows safety requirements, and supports lean manufacturing. Requires basic computer, mathematical, technical-documentation, and problem-solving skills.
