The Human Resources Generalist supports broad HR functions, including maintaining personnel and medical files, interviewing, background checks, employee onboarding, benefits assistance, FMLA and workers’ compensation tracking, attendance and absence documentation, employee discipline, unemployment claims, training records, audits, government reporting, and HR projects. The role also provides employee support, coordinates work across teams, and may lead projects or staff while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.

Perform microbiological and chemical testing of finished products, raw materials and samples. Operate and maintain lab equipment, perform calibrations, antibiotic testing, weight control, and sanitation. Document results per SOPs and SQF/food-safety requirements, communicate quality issues to production, follow GMPs, wear PPE, and work night shifts with occasional weekends and overtime.

Work in a refrigerated plant and cooler environment operating and cleaning multiple machines, relieving various production positions, and becoming certified to receive raw milk. The role requires flexible availability for nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and varied shifts. Employees must lift over 50 pounds, drag over 240 pounds, and pass drug and background checks.
