Join Porter Scott's Summer Law Clerk program for 2Ls to gain hands-on litigation experience. Conduct legal research, draft motions and briefs, attend depositions and hearings, participate in case strategy, work with attorneys across practice areas, and receive mentoring and professional development over an approximately eight-week, in-person Sacramento placement.

Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from intake through resolution: draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence; take and defend depositions; argue motions; and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials while working with partners on legal strategy and client service.

Support attorneys across all phases of civil litigation by reviewing and summarizing records, managing subpoenas and discovery, coordinating experts and IMEs, preparing cases for mediation/arbitration/trial, organizing case materials, and ensuring deadlines are met while communicating with clients, vendors, and experts.
