Own and operate Polarsteps’ AWS infrastructure, including S3 and PostgreSQL databases. Improve scalability, developer experience, monitoring, alerting, security, and privacy. Respond to incidents, maintain documentation, lead SSO and VPN initiatives, and support analytics infrastructure. Collaborate with platform and engineering teams while automating infrastructure using Python, shell scripting, Terraform or OpenTofu, and AWS technologies.

Build and improve Polarsteps' web app using React and TypeScript, creating user-facing features for millions of travelers. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers; prototype concepts; develop internal tools; optimize performance; and improve platform resiliency, maintainability, scalability, and automated testing. The role requires strong frontend engineering experience, an eye for user experience, pragmatic problem-solving, and Agile team experience.

Lead and mentor iOS engineers while contributing as a senior iOS developer. Partner with the iOS Tech Lead, product managers, designers, and engineering teams to build and maintain a high-quality travel app. Responsibilities include improving maintainability, resiliency, scalability, and performance; addressing technical debt; developing complex interfaces; debugging multithreaded code; optimizing memory usage; and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
