Leads process engineering and system architecture for hydrogen generation, compression, storage, and distribution infrastructure. Oversees P&IDs, controls strategies, hazard analyses, equipment specifications, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Manages and develops engineering staff, coordinates global and cross-functional teams, works with vendors, and ensures compliance with quality, safety, cost, performance, and applicable codes. The role supports project execution from requirements and design through manufacturing, deployment, commissioning, and field verification.

Own the strategic commercial relationship with a major enterprise customer, driving account growth, executive engagement, complex negotiations, forecasting, and customer satisfaction. Lead multi-site programs, QBRs, escalations, and cross-functional execution across sales, engineering, manufacturing, finance, quality, construction, services, and legal. Sell integrated hydrogen and fuel-cell solutions, including equipment, infrastructure, supply, and services, while translating customer needs into product and deployment priorities.

Designs custom fuel cell stack components from concept through production release. Creates 3D CAD models, drawings, assemblies, and bills of materials; performs tolerance analysis, prototyping, testing, DFMEA, and design reviews. Collaborates with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to resolve issues and deliver cost-effective, manufacturable, reliable components. Supports engineering studies, stack testing, change control, cost reduction, and performance improvements.

Coordinates and delivers compliant RFPs, proposals, and quotation documents on schedule. Leads cross-functional input collection, review, editing, workflow improvements, templates, and proposal best practices. Supports sales teams and subject matter experts with persuasive writing and presentations, manages commercial terms and conditions with counsel, and maintains branded commercial document templates. Requires strong project management, communication, analytical, organizational, and writing skills.

Leads Plug Power’s North America hydrogen logistics organization and strategy, overseeing transportation, cryogenic fleet and infrastructure planning, logistics providers, safety, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, continuity planning, and executive KPI reporting. Manages hazardous-material transportation involving liquid and gaseous hydrogen, negotiates complex multimillion-dollar contracts, supports product launches and infrastructure projects, implements logistics technology, and builds a high-performing team.

Supports the field sales team with pricing, proposals, purchase orders, sales transactions, customer documentation, reporting, CRM accuracy, and administrative coordination. Collaborates with sales, operations, and other departments to manage customer expectations, demand planning, forecasting, and revenue goals. Maintains professional customer relationships and provides analytical, detail-oriented support for complex sales activities.

Supports fuel cell and electrolyzer stack programs through hands-on teardown, failure analysis, test stand operation, troubleshooting, data analysis, and documentation. Develops test procedures, lab capabilities, fixtures, tooling, and CAD designs while assisting with DFMEA and design reviews. Collaborates with manufacturing, quality, and analytical teams to resolve reliability issues and maintains safe, calibrated lab operations. The role is suited to a recent mechanical engineering graduate or early-career engineer.

Implements supplier quality strategy, resolves supplier defects through root-cause analysis and corrective actions, manages APQP part qualification, supplier metrics, scorecards, audits, and quality improvement initiatives. Supports DFMA, Cpk data collection, inspection methods, defective material disposition, and ISO/QS compliance. Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality assurance while applying 8D, Six Sigma, PFMEA, and DFMEA methodologies.

Develops, deploys, tests, and maintains SCADA, PLC, and HMI software for hydrogen generation, compression, storage, and dispensing systems. Supports active field equipment remotely, optimizes system performance, manages software releases and engineering changes, interprets P&IDs and electrical schematics, and collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams. Provides user training and technical leadership while traveling up to 20% as needed.

Coordinate product build schedules and maintain ERP planning parameters to ensure material supply continuity. Process sales and transfer orders, support material shortage communications, coordinate logistics/warehouse activities, partner with engineering on material deviations, and drive process improvements and inventory investigations to support manufacturing production and delivery schedules.

Manage and execute manufacturing projects from planning through evaluation. Develop schedules, allocate resources, monitor budget/schedule/deliverables, mitigate risks, coordinate stakeholders, implement change controls, and improve safety, quality, capacity, and cost.

Manage end-to-end heavy haul and out-of-gauge domestic and international shipments, coordinate with carriers/3PLs and construction project managers, resolve customs clearance issues, maintain import/export compliance and documentation, identify duty savings and classification strategies, and use ERP/MRP and Microsoft 365 tools for collaboration and data accuracy.

The Senior Systems Engineer provides support for fuel cell systems using systems engineering principles, manages projects, develops control strategies, and verifies software and design targets.

The Sr. Coating Engineer is responsible for enhancing production processes in thin film coating, solving production issues, driving efficiency, and maintaining product quality while leading improvement projects and training stakeholders in best practices.
