Senior Software Engineer responsible for evolving Planet’s Identity and Access Management services. The role involves designing secure, reliable backend services, developing integration tools and libraries, troubleshooting IAM issues, collaborating with stakeholders, conducting code reviews, documenting solutions, and mentoring junior engineers. The position uses Java and Python and works with REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, authentication technologies, databases, and scalable backend systems.

Provide technical, customer-facing support for Planet products: troubleshoot complex issues, manage bugs and enhancement requests, build relationships with engineering and product teams, and participate in projects to improve customer experience. Requires expertise in APIs, GIS/remote sensing, scripting, databases, AWS and containers; may include travel and weekend on-call support.
