Leads the technical direction, architecture, verification, certification, and flight-test readiness of flight-control systems across eVTOL aircraft programs. Oversees control law development, simulation, failure accommodation, envelope protection, and model-based design. Leads and mentors the flight-controls team while coordinating with systems engineering, safety, certification, firmware, autonomy, aeromechanical, and flight-test teams. Requires deep aircraft flight-dynamics expertise, senior technical leadership, and proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, C, and C++.

Design, tune, analyze, and verify flight control laws for eVTOL aircraft from simulation through flight testing. Perform system identification, update flight dynamics models, develop Monte Carlo and mission-level verification cases, analyze flight data, and support requirements traceability and flight-test planning. Collaborate with navigation, firmware, aeromechanical, systems engineering, and flight-test teams while reviewing designs and mentoring junior engineers.

Conduct full-cycle recruiting for technical and engineering roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate assessment, and onboarding support. Develop recruiting strategies, job descriptions, recruitment materials, and talent pipelines. Partner with hiring managers, maintain candidate relationships, apply recruiting best practices, and provide analytical recruiting reports. The role is onsite at the company headquarters in Palo Alto, California.
