Represent insurance carriers, self-insured entities, and insureds in complex insurance defense matters. Provide strategic counsel and advocacy in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and settlement negotiations across various insurance policies. The role is remote with access to a Connecticut office and requires Connecticut bar admission and recent insurance defense experience.

Draft substantive motions for summary judgment, pretrial motions, and appeals in New York State and Federal Courts. Analyze complex legal issues and develop persuasive arguments while working exclusively in a motions and legal writing department. The role generally excludes courtroom appearances, client reporting, depositions, caseload management, and routine conferences, though occasional oral arguments may be handled.

Manage insurance defense litigation from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings and discovery, conducting depositions, attending hearings and mediations, evaluating liability and damages, reporting to clients, and preparing matters for settlement, trial, or appeal.
