Leads complex quality assurance and quality control engineering programs, develops QA procedures, evaluates facility and supplier programs, conducts audits and surveillances, reviews procurement and work packages, manages schedules and budgets, provides technical guidance, and recommends corrective actions and process improvements. The role supports facility startup and operations, communicates with DOE-SR personnel, and requires weekly construction-site walk-downs.

Leads nuclear facility operations support by coordinating work control, monitoring facility systems, reviewing procedures, analyzing performance trends, conducting training, and supporting contingency operations. Manages construction turnover activities, including walkdowns, punch lists, acceptance inspections, documentation, regulatory compliance, contractor coordination, and audit records. Requires extensive technical experience, independent judgment, and the ability to work safely in regulated construction and facility environments.

Serves as the cognizant system engineer and technical authority for assigned plant systems. Coordinates configuration management, evaluates system health and proposed design changes, assesses safety authorization impacts, troubleshoots technical issues, and supports operability and maintenance. Performs system walkdowns, calibration and equipment test determinations, spare-parts evaluations, and system turnover to owner support.
