Teams at Pima County

Leads conservation lands, trails, parks, and environmental education programs. Oversees strategic planning, budgets, staffing, volunteers, outreach partnerships, grants, regulatory compliance, public engagement, program evaluation, and infrastructure or habitat improvement initiatives. Supervises staff and coordinates with agencies, nonprofits, tribal entities, and community groups. The role combines office and outdoor fieldwork, including geospatial data collection, remote terrain travel, vehicle operation, and occasional equipment use.

Develops and administers employee learning and performance solutions for Pima County. Configures, tests, implements, and maintains Workday Learning and Performance Management functionality; designs instructor-led, online, and micro-learning curricula; facilitates training; manages course scheduling and attendance; creates surveys and reports; troubleshoots system issues; translates business requirements into system solutions; and coordinates with stakeholders, vendors, and county departments.

Supervises a financial analysis team responsible for budgeting, forecasting, operational accounting, reporting, and variance analysis. Oversees financial data accuracy, compliance, budgets, contracts, procurement, and related expenditures. Develops policies and improves business processes, supports financial systems, prepares required reports, and provides technical guidance. Recruits, trains, mentors, evaluates, and assigns work to staff while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
