Responsibilities include opto-mechanical design, component selection, optical alignment, assembly and testing station development, SOP creation, staff training, prototype characterization, troubleshooting, and design validation. The engineer collaborates across multidisciplinary R&D teams and uses scripting, metrology, and instrument-control techniques to improve product performance, manufacturability, and reliability.

Own the roadmap for workplace monitoring hardware and software products. Responsibilities include customer and market research, requirements documentation, Agile product ownership, cross-functional product development, hardware NPI, sales enablement, customer presentations, KPI tracking, and competitive analysis. The role partners with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, QA, analytics, sales, and utility customers to deliver and improve data-driven workplace exposure monitoring solutions.

Lead architecture, development, and deployment of software for spectroscopy and analytical instruments. Build embedded Linux control systems, data acquisition software, APIs, drivers, services, automation tools, and cloud-connected applications. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, optical, systems, manufacturing, and product teams; resolve complex integration issues; improve software quality through testing and CI; support calibration, manufacturing, diagnostics, and product planning; and mentor junior engineers.
