Provides welcoming, professional assistance to museum visitors, including orientation, ticketing, membership sales, program promotion, coat check, and visitor support. Enforces museum policies, responds to emergencies, maintains cleanliness standards, completes opening and closing procedures, and collaborates with departments during regular and special events. Requires strong customer service, communication, conflict resolution, cash handling, dependability, and the ability to work extended periods standing in a fast-paced environment.

Conducts research, examinations, documentation, and conservation treatments for East Asian works of art on paper. Supports preventive conservation, exhibitions, loans, acquisitions, storage, installation, packing, and transport. Collaborates with conservation scientists, Asian specialists, curators, and international conservation studios, including through microfadometry and material analysis. The two-year role also involves prioritizing preservation projects and representing the museum in professional and public engagement.

Leads the museum’s Visitor Experience team and oversees daily visitor operations, admissions, ticketing, coat check, wayfinding, crowd management, staffing, scheduling, and service recovery. The role plans for peak attendance, exhibitions, programs, and events; coordinates operational responses; develops staff training and procedures; monitors visitor feedback and attendance; improves systems and workflows; and serves as the primary decision-maker for visitor and operational concerns before escalation.
