Processes and submits insurance claims, enters and verifies patient and insurance information, follows up on rejected or unpaid claims, prepares appeals, verifies benefits, submits secondary claims, and answers patient billing questions. The role also performs limited patient collections while maintaining HIPAA compliance and understanding managed care authorizations and coverage limits.

Provides direct psychiatric patient care using the nursing process, including assessments, medication administration, nursing interventions, education, documentation, safety practices, and communication with patients, families, physicians, and care teams. Maintains clinical competencies, follows infection prevention and hospital policies, delegates appropriately, and supports quality outcomes. Requires Missouri or compact RN licensure, BLS certification, and graduation from an accredited nursing school.
