Support certified teachers by providing small-group and one-on-one instruction, implementing academic and behavioral plans, monitoring student safety, tutoring eligible students, collecting progress feedback, and assisting with classroom, cafeteria, library, playground, and administrative duties. The role requires collaboration with teachers and administrators and helps create a caring, supportive learning environment for students, including those receiving special education services.

Provides specialized instruction for students with disabilities, including developing and implementing IEPs and 504 accommodations. Assesses academic, behavioral, social, and physical needs; creates individualized lessons; tracks progress; adapts instruction; and collaborates with classroom teachers and families to support student success.

Elementary teachers plan and deliver rigorous, standards-based instruction, assess student mastery, track academic progress, and adapt instruction to improve outcomes. They set achievement goals, support students’ academic and social development, build caring classroom environments, collaborate with families and the school community, and help scholars achieve grade-level growth and persist throughout the academic year.
