Conducts research on human-AI interface design, develops interaction patterns, and supports digital archive data workflows for machine learning datasets. Responsibilities include metadata analysis, exploratory data analysis, data augmentation and organization, and liaison work between Liberatory Tech and Douglass Day projects. The associate will also participate in critical discussions about AI use in digital archives and support programming initiatives.

Grade IE 302 engineering economy assignments using a solution key provided by the course instructor. Applicants must have previously completed an engineering economy course during undergraduate or graduate studies. The position is part-time and requires successful completion of university background checks.

Supports the Nittany AI Challenge by troubleshooting AI tools, mentoring student interns, assisting with workshops and events, improving program workflows, and tracking participation and milestones for impact reporting. The role requires regular on-campus engagement at University Park, occasional evening and weekend hours, and offers an opportunity to pursue a master’s degree.
