Investigates, evaluates, negotiates, and settles workers’ compensation claims from initial assignment through disposition. Responsibilities include verifying coverage, adjusting reserves, documenting claim files, pursuing recovery opportunities, managing complex liability and coverage issues, and coordinating with claimants, insureds, legal and medical professionals, agents, and internal teams. The role may support catastrophe claims teams and requires travel, including overnight stays.

Manages commercial lines agency relationships across Maryland, supporting profitable premium and policy growth. Responsibilities include agency prospecting, performance and profitability analysis, underwriting support, agent training, marketing planning, rate reviews, and implementation of corrective action plans. The role collaborates with underwriting, claims, corporate teams, and agents; applies commercial lines underwriting authority; and may directly underwrite small commercial business. Travel, including overnight stays, is required.

Manages financial reporting, statutory and GAAP statements, regulatory filings, premium tax returns, general ledger close processes, reconciliations, and accounting controls. Leads and develops Financial Reporting staff, oversees audits and board reporting, ensures compliance with insurance accounting requirements, and coordinates process improvements and ad hoc projects. The role requires collaboration with auditors, insurance regulators, municipalities, and internal stakeholders.
