Provide inpatient pediatric hospitalist coverage for an eight-bed pediatric unit and newborn nursery at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake. Responsibilities include overseeing PNPs, managing pediatric admissions, covering overnight home call for the pediatric unit and nursery, and collaborating with pediatric subspecialists. The role involves 15–16 shifts per month, with no in-house call, delivery attendance, or circumcision duties.

Provides neonatal care in a 55-bed Level III NICU, collaborating with neonatologists and NNPs. Responsibilities include caring for critically ill newborns, participating in neonatal transport, managing ventilated patients, and supporting therapies such as inhaled nitric oxide and cooling for hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. The role includes seven 24-hour in-house shifts monthly and requires prior NICU experience, NCCPA certification, and a master’s degree.

Provide specialized care for extremely premature, critically ill, medically complex, and surgical newborns in an 84-bed Level IV NICU. Responsibilities include clinical care, multidisciplinary collaboration, quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, outcomes and benchmarking review, evidence-based pathway development, education, and simulation. The role also supports neonatal transport and program development within a major regional referral center.
