Own Payabli’s AWS infrastructure, platform roadmap, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, developer environments, observability, and security posture. Design resilient cloud architecture, improve local development, enable secure AI-assisted workflows, and maintain PCI-DSS-aligned controls. Establish deployment standards, monitoring, documentation, and runbooks while partnering with engineering leadership to increase developer productivity and operational reliability.

The Staff/Senior Accountant will manage core accounting operations, including preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, supporting month- and year-end close, processing vendor invoices, and assisting with audits and tax compliance. The role requires strong QuickBooks Online and Excel skills, GAAP knowledge, attention to detail, and effective communication. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and at least two years of accounting experience.

Set the technical direction for machine learning at Payabli by maturing production risk models and launching new models across the payments lifecycle. Establish experimentation, monitoring, drift detection, benchmarking, retraining, and incident-response foundations. Translate payments challenges into modeling opportunities, connect model performance to business outcomes, influence the ML roadmap, and mentor engineers while partnering with product, engineering, and risk operations.
