Provides non-clinical support to long-term care residents, including companionship, meal assistance, room and common-area upkeep, comfort support, activity participation, and in-facility transport. Collaborates with nursing staff, responds to resident requests, reports concerns, and promotes dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life.

Assists with preparing, portioning, serving, and delivering meals to residents or patients, including special diets. Maintains kitchen and dining-area cleanliness, follows food safety requirements, restocks supplies, supports inventory monitoring, and provides courteous meal-related service. Collaborates with cooks and dietary staff to ensure efficient meal operations in a healthcare or long-term care setting.

Oversee daily operations of a nursing unit in long-term care or assisted living: supervise staff, coordinate and deliver patient care, ensure regulatory compliance and documentation in EHR, lead quality improvement, manage staffing/schedules, and serve as liaison with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Coordinate and manage MDS assessments, ensure regulatory compliance and accurate CMS submissions, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans, communicate with residents and families, monitor MDS data for quality improvement, and support audits and reimbursement accuracy.

The State Tested Nursing Assistant provides essential care to residents, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, documenting care, and ensuring resident comfort and safety.

Provide hands-on daily living assistance and basic clinical monitoring to residents under nurse supervision. Duties include ADLs support, mobility assistance, feeding, vital signs, documentation in EHR or paper charts, infection control, emotional support, and collaboration with the care team to maintain resident safety and quality of life.

Manage and coordinate staff schedules in a long-term care or assisted living facility, ensuring coverage across all shifts. Track attendance, handle call-offs and shift swaps, maintain staffing records, collaborate with nursing leadership and HR, support recruitment and onboarding, ensure labor law and regulatory compliance, and respond to emergency staffing needs, including on-call rotation.
