Leads nursing care for residents, supervises nurse aides, administers medications and treatments, implements care plans, transcribes physician orders, documents care, completes assessments, participates in shift reports, educates support staff, maintains safety and infection-control standards, and addresses staffing needs. Requires an RN or LVN license in good standing, strong clinical documentation and assessment skills, effective communication, organization, emergency response, and attention to detail.

Supports the Director of Nursing by overseeing resident care, nursing staff, staffing assignments, documentation, care planning, infection control, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement. The role assists with hiring, training, evaluation, delegation, resource availability, and clinical coordination with physicians and consultants. The ADON may also provide floor staffing support and is expected to maintain high standards of geriatric or long-term care nursing.

Provides meal service and food preparation support for residents. Responsibilities include assembling and delivering meal trays, preparing and portioning food according to menus and recipes, rotating supplies, disposing of refuse, and washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment. The role requires reliable attendance, teamwork, efficiency, cleanliness, food safety awareness, and a commitment to resident satisfaction.
