Provides advanced analysis of routine vaccination and measles surveillance data across the Americas. Develops and validates data-quality methodologies, evaluates surveillance information systems, supports PAHOabc indicators, improves EPI performance-monitoring tools, assists countries with implementation, and prepares regional analyses, reports, visualizations, and communications. The consultant also integrates laboratory, immunization, and surveillance information systems and recommends improvements based on identified system strengths and gaps.

Provides statistical modeling and analytical support for respiratory virus forecasting, nowcasting, excess mortality monitoring, and RSV burden estimation. Maintains analytical scripts, statistical tools, dashboards, and data workflows; evaluates models and uncertainty; analyzes incomplete reporting and hospitalization data; contributes to scientific manuscripts, technical reports, training materials, and country-level implementation. The consultant supports PAHO’s AMoMo mortality monitoring network and regional respiratory virus surveillance activities.

Assess Suriname’s public laboratory network using the WHO Laboratory Assessment Tool and supplementary modules. Conduct facility, equipment, diagnostic capacity, staffing, quality, biosafety, information-management, specimen-referral, and resource assessments. Classify laboratory functional levels, identify and prioritize gaps, develop cost estimates, and produce a two-year National Laboratory Improvement Plan. Facilitate stakeholder consultations, validation sessions, reporting, database handover, and skills transfer to national counterparts.
