Design and analyze a portable, modular mounting platform for an optical beacon system across transportation and field-installed states. Build parametric CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and perform environmental, static, vibration, shock, and thermal analyses. Work with optics engineers to protect alignment and pointing stability, support fabrication, and participate in field setup, teardown, and checkout.

Paid, part-time optics internship supporting the design, alignment, characterization, and field deployment of a laser ground beacon. Responsibilities include measuring laser power, beam profile, divergence, and pointing stability; co-aligning the beacon with an observational telescope; developing and validating a repeatable field alignment procedure; and maintaining detailed engineering records. The intern will work on-site with optics and hardware engineers and support a Department of War energy technology program.

Own the company’s five-year national security government capture strategy, developing relationships across DoD, Space Systems Command, and the Intelligence Community. Lead opportunities from SBIRs, OTAs, and other acquisition pathways through contract awards and programs of record. Shape requirements and RFPs, support proposal development, manage the opportunity pipeline, partner on compliance and export controls, and represent the company at defense and space forums. The role requires an established government network, technical credibility, extensive capture experience, and an active TS/SCI clearance.

The Spacecraft Structures Engineer leads design and analysis of spacecraft structural systems, conducts tests, and collaborates with a cross-functional engineering team to ensure functionality and manufacturability.

The Optomechanical Engineer will design, analyze, and integrate optomechanical assemblies for space-based optical systems, ensuring optical performance through thermal and structural considerations. Responsibilities include collaboration, prototyping, and detailed documentation.
