Provide one-on-one direct support to a student with deafblindness across the instructional day per the IEP. Assist the classroom teacher with academic, personal care, lunch, PE, aquatic support, bus duty, behavior plan implementation, and team collaboration. Participate in meetings and trainings and learn basic Braille and Braille machinery.

Provide school-based nursing care for students with visual impairments and additional disabilities: assess health needs, administer medications, perform specialized procedures (catheterization, tube feeding, tracheostomy care), maintain records, conduct screenings, counsel families and staff, liaise with medical community, and ensure compliance with Pennsylvania school health guidelines.

Provide functional behavior assessments and develop positive behavior support plans for students with visual impairments and additional disabilities. Train and coach staff, collaborate with IEP teams and families, monitor data for treatment effectiveness, ensure safety and compliance, and obtain/maintain relevant trainer certifications.

Provide specialized instruction for students who are blind or visually impaired during a five-week ESY/summer program. Develop IEP-based lesson plans, teach Braille and ECC skills, perform functional vision and learning media assessments, adapt materials and use assistive/low-vision devices, supervise paraeducators, communicate with families, maintain records and required paperwork, participate in trainings, and maintain required certifications/licensure.

Provide HR support for recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, recordkeeping, compliance (EEO/affirmative action), investigations, events, and HR reporting; assist Director on projects and act as liaison across departments.
