Leads the Legal function and serves as principal legal adviser to the Board, executives, and senior leaders. Advises on governance, charity law, public funding, commercial contracts, strategic partnerships, procurement, health data, technology, intellectual property, and regulatory risk. Builds a high-performing in-house legal team, develops contracting standards and approval processes, manages external counsel and budgets, and supports partnerships with government, NHS, research, life sciences, and technology organizations.

Lead the customer success strategy across researcher-facing products and services. Build and develop the Customer Success team, establish KPIs and SLAs, improve onboarding, engagement, support, and issue resolution, and coordinate cross-functional customer journeys. Use customer insight and AI-enabled digital support to improve experiences, while contributing to retention, renewals, growth, forecasting, and revenue. Partner with Product, Technology, Business Development, and commercial teams to prioritize improvements and strengthen customer relationships.

Lead architectural and technical decisions for shared data-platform capabilities, combining hands-on software engineering with Staff-level technical leadership. Build scalable cloud-native systems and data pipelines, mentor engineers, collaborate with product and cross-functional stakeholders, integrate partner systems, and support live operations and incident response. The role focuses on reliable processing of large volumes of sensitive health and research data while improving engineering practices across multiple teams.
