Staff Accountant responsible for recording general ledger transactions, preparing financial reports, performing audits and reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end close, and strengthening internal controls. The role also involves communicating with agencies and insureds about refunds and commissions, identifying process improvements, and keeping accounting leadership informed. Candidates need accounting expertise, advanced Excel skills, knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls, strong attention to detail, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Supports the development of Orion180’s SEC reporting function, including preparation of 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy, and registration filings; consolidated financial statements; footnote disclosures; XBRL validation; technical accounting research; SOX internal controls; audit schedules; and variance analysis. The role partners with Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, auditors, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, compliant public disclosures and meet regulatory deadlines.

Leads and scales the Agency Services team supporting independent agents and strategic partnerships. Oversees agency onboarding, service workflows, case resolution, quality assurance, metrics, training, systems data integrity, and escalations. Builds processes and standard operating procedures, improves service performance, and collaborates with Sales, Partnerships, Operations, Underwriting, and Product to deliver consistent agency support.
