Leads complex, business-critical engineering initiatives and shapes organisation-wide technology strategy. Defines engineering standards, architecture, governance, and technical assurance across platforms, integrations, and enterprise systems. Mentors engineers, leads three direct reports, influences approximately 20 engineers, and partners with senior leaders, architects, and product teams to deliver secure, scalable, future-ready systems.

Lead the Engineering Architecture capability at Ordnance Survey by translating enterprise direction into engineering standards, patterns, roadmaps, and governance. Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Product, and Delivery teams to improve scalability, interoperability, reuse, and technology decision-making. Build a high-performing architecture practice, develop technical leaders, coordinate priorities, and provide practical technical guidance across complex technology platforms and services.

Create and publish social-first content, manage creator and influencer partnerships, grow online communities, identify trends, deliver campaigns, and use audience insights to improve performance. The role involves collaborating with internal teams, agencies, and employee advocates to communicate Ordnance Survey’s products, services, and purpose across social platforms. Content may include mapping, data, technology, event, and campaign stories.
