Supports risk-based annual audit planning and executes audits of banking head-office functions, including Finance, Trade Finance, Treasury, and Risk Management. Completes audit working papers, evaluates business processes and controls, documents findings, assesses risks, recommends corrective actions, enhances quality standards, monitors issue resolution, and conducts fraud investigations.

Leads the Bank’s POS business strategy, merchant acquisition, terminal deployment, transaction growth, revenue, profitability, and compliance. Oversees merchant retention, terminal inventory, pricing optimization, service improvements, and cross-selling initiatives. Manages and develops the POS Business team while using merchant feedback and transaction data to improve products and processes. Requires extensive experience in banking, fintech, payments, digital banking, merchant acquiring, or related financial services, with strong knowledge of Nigeria’s payments ecosystem.

Prepare and ensure timely statutory renditions and regulatory reporting; assist with current and deferred tax computations and liaise with tax consultants; maintain and update accounting policies per IFRS; manage capital planning and monitor capital adequacy; support external audits, regulatory reviews, and rating agency coordination; prepare assigned account proofs and month-end reporting support.
