Communications and Documentation Intern responsible for documenting Operation Smile Ethiopia’s surgical, medical education, training, and cleft-care programs. Duties include gathering stories, photos, and videos; producing bulletins, updates, social media messages, and short videos; coordinating with program teams and hospitals; and sharing program successes with local and regional communications teams.

Leads regional financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, risk management, audits, procurement, and operational finance across multiple countries. Oversees accounting controls, reconciliations, cash flow, cost analysis, asset management, and donor reporting. Provides financial guidance, training, and mentorship to country teams while supporting strategic initiatives, business planning, and continuous operational improvement in a multicultural nonprofit environment.

Leads Operation Smile’s multichannel fundraising strategy across direct mail, digital, DRTV, SMS, telemarketing, and emerging channels. Owns donor growth, retention, sustainer and mid-level giving programs, revenue forecasting, ROI, campaign performance, vendor relationships, data governance, and executive reporting. Directs cross-functional teams and external partners, manages significant budgets, develops fundraising KPIs, and mentors staff while advancing integrated English- and Spanish-language donor engagement.
