Teams at Operation Smile Inc.

Supports the finance team with routine accounting activities, payment documentation, transaction tracking, expense collection, financial document organization, and government financial data entry. Assists with payments for patient transportation, meals, accommodation, training, and workshops. May travel to banks, tax offices, and other counterparties to handle financial matters and collect documents. The intern also performs scanning, reporting support, and other duties assigned by the supervisor.

A 3–6 month internship with Operation Smile Madagascar beginning in September 2026. Interns may work in Finance and Operations, Program and Project Management, or Monitoring and Evaluation. Responsibilities will vary by placement area and may involve financial administration, project coordination, program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

Engages elementary through university students across Virginia by building relationships, managing student programs, coordinating events and conferences, supporting fundraisers, maintaining databases, analyzing engagement data, and communicating with students and supporters. The role includes school and community outreach, youth mentoring, grant and proposal writing, budget collaboration, field-trip coordination, and domestic and international travel.
