Lead the Data Engineering team and own the company’s lakehouse, ingestion pipelines, orchestration, data quality, governance, reliability, cost controls, and self-service data platform. Manage batch, streaming, and change-data-capture systems serving financial data at scale. Ensure compliance with regulated-environment requirements, support machine learning data foundations, contribute hands-on code and debugging, and grow the engineering team through hiring, coaching, and performance management.

Owns the end-to-end launch of currencies and payment corridors across Latin America, including liquidity-provider onboarding, settlement rails, regulatory clearance, pricing, engineering prioritization, readiness reviews, go-live decisions, and post-launch adoption. The role also operationalizes licenses, manages banking partners, translates regulatory requirements into product decisions, and builds a repeatable regional launch playbook.

Lead a new payments engineering pod of 8–15 engineers and QA, owning cross-border corridor launches, EU license operationalization, payment APIs and dashboards, reliability, compliance controls, incident response, hiring, and team development. The role requires hands-on backend coding, distributed-systems correctness, payment orchestration, partner integrations, production migrations, on-call ownership, and collaboration with Compliance, Legal, Product, and banking partners.
