Open Hand Atlanta is a Georgia nonprofit Food is Medicine provider that prepares and delivers free, medically tailored meals to people living with or at risk for chronic and severe illness. It also offers nutrition education and dietitian-guided programs that help people manage health through food. Founded in 1988, the organization began when friends cooked for neighbors affected by HIV/AIDS and has since become a regional provider.
