Teams at Open Function

Own and grow OpenFn’s implementation partner and reseller network globally, initially across Sub-Saharan Africa. Responsibilities include identifying and onboarding partners, negotiating agreements, enabling partners to sell and implement the platform, driving partner-generated revenue, managing pipelines, coordinating internal support, and building a scalable certification and partner community program.

Lead OpenFn’s fundraising function from the ground up, developing strategy, building foundation and major-donor relationships, managing the funding pipeline, securing significant multi-year gifts and grants, and producing compelling proposals and reports. The role also engages Digital Public Goods and Digital Public Infrastructure policy communities, translates technical work into funder-focused narratives, establishes fundraising systems, and reports progress to leadership. This is a remote contractor role requiring 20–40% international travel.

Build and operate backend services for OpenFn’s government and NGO workflow automation platform. Design scalable architectures, connected-system registration, credential sharing, and reliable workflow workers. Shape backend architecture through technical proposals, code reviews, documentation, and engineering conventions. Strengthen security through improved trust boundaries, isolation, and credential handling. Work independently in a distributed team as an individual contributor.
