Supervise a shift or section in a freight service center, ensuring safety, efficiency, loading/unloading accuracy, regulatory compliance, staffing, training, and continuous operational improvements while using internal freight systems and managing daily performance metrics.

Operate switcher tractors to move trailers between staging areas and loading docks. Assist with loading/unloading (minimum 20% of weekly hours), couple/uncouple trailers, fuel and inspect equipment, communicate with dispatch, perform daily maintenance checks, complete required paperwork, follow safety procedures and wear PPE, and perform other dock and yard duties as assigned.

Lead and supervise shift operations in a freight service center, ensuring safety, efficiency, compliance (OSHA/DOT), proper loading/unloading, staff training, performance tracking, and use of internal freight systems to meet service and productivity goals.
