Teams at Old Colony YMCA

Support young adults ages 12–18 through mentoring, relationship building, recreational and community activities, daily living skills, employment and education opportunities, crisis prevention, and program documentation. The role includes intake and orientation support and requires work in a structured, community-based setting with participants experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.

Supervises school-age children and helps deliver a safe, healthy, constructive program environment. Responsibilities include implementing curriculum and activities, maintaining behavior and attendance records, following childcare regulations and YMCA policies, communicating with parents and school personnel, supporting enrollment and fundraising, maintaining clean facilities, and attending staff meetings and required training. The role requires collaboration, positive role modeling, public speaking, and occasional physical work involving lifting children and equipment.

Coordinates before- and after-school programming for school-age children at the YMCA’s Avon location. Creates a safe, fun, educational environment; supports youth development; builds positive relationships; collaborates with staff; communicates with families and the public; and assists with cleaning, equipment movement, and child supervision. The role requires early mornings, occasional late nights and weekends, physical activity, and the ability to lift children and equipment.
