Conduct confidential background investigations and criminal history searches for employees, vendors, volunteers, and community partners. Examine and capture fingerprints using manual, automated, and Livescan systems; maintain background-check databases and records; contact courts, district attorneys, law enforcement, OSBI, and Idemia for documentation and fingerprint investigations. Review requests, provide technical support to child care and child welfare programs, answer inquiries, and assist callers with background-check processes.

Directs and supervises the Child Welfare background investigations program, manages staff conducting criminal history determinations, and ensures timely, accurate background checks. Develops policies, procedures, training, and process improvements; collaborates with Child Welfare Services on quality improvement; reviews legislation for policy impacts; and may serve as legislative liaison. Maintains customer service and a positive work environment while supporting assigned staff and program operations.

Provides case management services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in home and community settings. Conducts social histories, develops and coordinates resources, serves as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional, monitors programs monthly, and ensures compliance with federal waiver regulations and state policies. Extensive travel is required, along with a valid driver’s license and required vehicle insurance. New employees complete the Case Manager Academy Training Program.
