Reconciles store sales, payments, cash receipts, credit card deposits, bank transactions, and accounts receivable records. Generates invoices, processes sales orders, enters authorizations, imports and exports billing data, and posts transactions in Sage 100. Assists Accounts Payable with invoice coding and processing, performs clerical duties, reconciles café sales and drawers, and provides occasional switchboard and accounting support.

Performs general accounting activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end and year-end close support, fixed asset and lease accounting, financial reporting, grant tracking, audit preparation, and compliance monitoring. The role maintains accurate GAAP-compliant records, resolves discrepancies, supports internal controls, assists with budgeting and variance reporting, and contributes to accounting process improvements while collaborating across departments.

Oversee the organization’s accounting operations, financial reporting, audits, internal controls, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and grant accounting. Lead month-end and year-end close processes, maintain GAAP-compliant records, support regulatory filings, and provide financial analysis to leadership and the Board. Manage and develop the accounting team, coordinate external audits, monitor financial performance, and improve accounting workflows and systems.
