Lead front-end UI/UX engineering for a hyperscale data warehouse using TypeScript, React, and Python. Architect scalable interfaces, establish coding standards, integrate REST APIs and SQL databases, and translate designs from Figma into intuitive product experiences. Serve as the technical UI/UX authority across Product, Engineering, and Design; lead reviews and architecture discussions; use AI coding agents; and mentor junior engineers.

Maintain and expand Ocient’s hosted database and services platform. Responsibilities include ensuring high availability, monitoring and alerting, Linux server automation, configuration management, security practices, deployment and testing pipeline automation, backups, disaster recovery, and incident management. The role also supports cloud infrastructure, databases, networking, virtualization, and on-call operations.

Develop and optimize SQL query processing for a distributed database operating across petabytes of data and hundreds of nodes. Responsibilities include parsing, validation, optimization, execution, performance analysis, debugging, code reviews, design discussions, testing, and collaboration with engineering and customer operations teams. The role also supports process improvement, knowledge sharing, and mentoring fellow engineers.
