Teams at Nu Quantum

Design and simulate passive and active photonic components for quantum photonic integrated circuits. Develop layouts, design libraries, and PDKs; collaborate with foundries and fabrication teams on manufacturability; analyze test data to improve designs; and work with engineers, scientists, architects, and external partners to develop scalable quantum networking hardware.

Develop and verify FPGA RTL and embedded C/Rust code for real-time quantum networking control systems. The role involves working with Xilinx Zynq and Ultrascale devices, ARTIQ Sinara hardware, debugging tools, communication protocols, testbenches, timing, and CI/CD automation. The engineer will collaborate with software, electronics, optical, and physics teams to deploy multi-node quantum networking systems and contribute to documentation, testing, and next-generation White Rabbit-based platforms.

Designs, prototypes, tests, and debugs high-performance analogue and mixed-signal electronics for quantum networking hardware. Responsibilities include circuit calculations and simulations, component selection, schematics, PCB layouts, prototype manufacturing, laboratory testing, experimental data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with physics, optics, software, FPGA, mechanical, and product teams. The role also contributes to project planning, timescales, budgets, and system deployment.
