Teams at NOVA Parks

Assists with park operations, visitor services, facility maintenance, safety patrols, cash handling, grounds upkeep, and staff supervision. Provides information to visitors, enforces park rules, reports incidents and unsafe conditions, maintains cleanliness, operates vehicles and equipment, and performs manual labor in varied weather. May assume responsibility for park operations when management is absent.

Leads educational and interpretive programs for school and public groups at a botanical preserve. Assists with exhibits, program preparation, social media, and photography; works with volunteers and performs related duties. Requires knowledge of biology, ecology, and local flora and fauna, strong public communication skills, and the ability to engage children. Must be available for holidays, evenings, weekends, and peak operating periods, and obtain CPR, first aid, and AED certification.

Operates and maintains a sporting clays course, serves as a range safety officer, enforces firearm safety rules, maintains trap machines and targets, inspects grounds and equipment, performs repairs and manual labor, assists visitors, supports special events, and maintains operational records. The role requires outdoor work year-round, weekend and holiday availability, public communication, firearm safety knowledge, basic mechanical skills, and successful pre-employment drug screening.
