Leads end-to-end optical system architecture and multidisciplinary development for semiconductor metrology tools. Responsibilities include performance budgeting, algorithm and data analysis, cross-functional technical decisions, system integration, testing, calibration, diagnostics, manufacturing transfer, customer support, and mentoring engineers. Requires deep expertise across optics, physics, algorithms, electronics, mechanics, and software, with hands-on Python or MATLAB programming and occasional international customer travel.

Own costing, cost analysis, inventory management, and supply chain planning activities. Responsibilities include analyzing work order variances, purchased-item costs, inventory transactions, slow and obsolete inventory, end-of-life material planning, quarterly inventory comparisons, and inventory counts. The role coordinates with Finance and Operations, validates period-end close activities, investigates discrepancies, drives corrective actions, and presents findings to management.

Lead optical engineering research, design, simulation, testing, characterization, and qualification for high-end semiconductor metrology tools. Own light sources, optical fibers, optical modules, physical modeling, lab setups, vendor management, and technical documentation. Collaborate with hardware and systems teams to deliver opto-mechanical and electro-optical modules and support production and service transfer.
