Teams at Nottingham City Council

Support classroom staff and pupils with SEND by delivering direct pupil support, assisting staff implementation of new approaches, and helping deliver training, observations and consultations across mainstream schools under Educational Psychology Service oversight. Work is school-based with some time at Oakfield Short-Stay School; enhanced barred list DBS required.

Plan, deliver and evaluate internal and external communications campaigns for the council's strategic projects. Coordinate Communications Officers, Designers and Digital Team, produce creative materials, provide communications advice, present campaign proposals to members and officers, manage events, and supervise implementation of strategies to reach diverse stakeholders.

Manage a caseload of children and young people with SEND, coordinating statutory Education, Health and Care needs assessments, drafting outcome-focused EHCPs, liaising with families, schools and partner agencies, preparing paperwork for panels and tribunals, maintaining records, and ensuring statutory timescales and safeguarding responsibilities are met.
