Investigates healthcare privacy concerns, conducts HIPAA risk assessments and EHR access audits, manages compliance hotline cases, tracks incidents, supports corrective action plans, and provides privacy guidance. The role also coordinates regulatory audits, develops training and policies, contributes to the compliance work plan, analyzes privacy data, and collaborates with departments to protect patient information and meet healthcare compliance requirements.

Assigns and reviews ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, CPT-4, and evaluation and management codes for outpatient encounters. Examines medical records, interprets clinical documentation, resolves NCCI and NCD/LCD claim edits, and supports reimbursement accuracy and productivity standards. Collaborates with patient accounting, registration, case management, and clinical teams. Requires healthcare coding certification and acute-care experience.

Performs hospital infection prevention surveillance, outbreak investigations, regulatory compliance monitoring, data analysis, reporting, staff education, and corrective action planning. Collaborates with healthcare leaders, Corporate Health, regulatory agencies, and infection control committees to reduce healthcare-associated infections and protect patients, visitors, and staff. Participates in on-call coverage, environmental rounds, infection exposure investigations, and quality initiatives.
