Supports the HR team with employee leave administration, including FMLA and Workers’ Compensation tracking, documentation, and employee communication. Maintains confidential personnel records and updates ADP and other HR systems. Assists with onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, reporting, invoices, recruiting events, and routine HR processes. Escalates complex employee concerns appropriately and provides administrative support across the department.

The Project Metallurgist leads metallurgical projects and processing improvements at a remote gold mining operation. Responsibilities include optimizing grinding, flotation, gravity, CIL, and elution circuits; conducting plant investigations and metallurgical test work; improving recovery, throughput, and costs; maintaining plant control systems; collaborating with suppliers; and advising processing operations and plant metallurgists.

Supports recruitment, onboarding, pre-employment checks, employee documentation, HR records, and candidate communications. Coordinates with hiring managers, Payroll, IT, Security, and other departments while maintaining confidentiality and accurate ATS, HRIS, and personnel records. Tracks recruitment and onboarding metrics, audits records, supports workforce reporting and HR projects, and recommends process improvements. This full-time role is office-based in Fairbanks, Alaska, with occasional travel to the Pogo Mine site or other locations.
