Build and lead Nex’s legal operations infrastructure, serving as the intake point for legal requests and implementing the company’s first CLM system. Manage contract workflows, templates, playbooks, governance records, entity administration, trademark licensing, insurance, outside counsel, legal metrics, knowledge management, and compliance support. Partner with the General Counsel, attorneys, Finance, People, Product, Supply Chain, and Trust & Safety teams to streamline legal processes and improve self-service.

Serve as Nex’s primary product legal advisor across privacy, children’s data protection, consumer protection, AI regulation, IP, and product safety. Own the privacy program, including COPPA compliance, consent flows, data practices, and regulatory responses. Advise cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle, create legal review processes and governance frameworks, develop self-service playbooks, and manage outside counsel as needed. The role will build and potentially lead Nex’s product legal function.

Lead legal support for Nex’s content, developer, brand, and strategic partnership ecosystem. Draft and negotiate publishing, content licensing, IP, developer, revenue-sharing, and co-marketing agreements. Advise Partnerships, Business Development, Content, Product, and Marketing teams; support vendor, retail, distribution, hardware, and supply-chain agreements; coordinate outside counsel; and build scalable templates, playbooks, policies, and CLM workflows. Surface privacy and compliance issues while helping establish Nex’s early in-house legal function.
