The role involves on-the-ground reporting, clear deadline writing, short-form vertical video, photography, cross-platform publishing, community engagement, and occasional general assignment coverage. Reporters collaborate with editors and visual journalists and work primarily in person across the county, including occasional nights and weekends.

Leads editorial strategy and daily newsroom operations across four local publications. Responsibilities include assigning and editing stories, managing and coaching newsroom staff, overseeing print and digital publishing, growing audiences, using analytics, representing the organization publicly, supporting fundraising, and expanding community journalism initiatives while maintaining fairness, accuracy, inclusion, and editorial excellence.
