Freelance storyboard artists create clear, readable storyboards for animated and machinima content, illustrating characters, backgrounds, staging, composition, camera movement, and acting. They interpret shot lists and thumbnails, follow model sheets and production standards, incorporate revisions, maintain organized project files, and meet fast three-day turnaround deadlines. The role is remote and project-based, requiring strong Toon Boom Storyboard Pro skills, draftsmanship, communication, and animation studio experience.

Creates finalized 2D environments and background props for animated YouTube content. Artists maintain organized workflows, meet daily production quotas of approximately 25 environments per week, complete revisions on schedule, adapt to varied visual styles, and collaborate effectively with production teams. Strong composition, perspective, color theory, lighting, form, communication, time management, and attention to detail are required. This is a remote independent contractor role requiring a portfolio.
