Manages archival processing and special projects for NYPL research collections. Supervises archivists, oversees acquisitions and backlog processing, manages grant-funded deliverables, maintains archival metadata and documentation, supports ArchivesSpace migration and troubleshooting, conducts staff training, performs database queries and reporting, and collaborates on digitization and description remediation initiatives. The role requires extensive archival processing experience, project and staff management, knowledge of archival standards and systems, and fully onsite work.

Leads NYPL’s Preservation Services department, overseeing conservation, collection management, registrar services, preservation policy, storage planning, emergency preparedness, digital preservation, grants, budgets, and staff development. The role establishes long-term preservation strategies, improves collections control and digitization workflows, manages organizational change, coordinates cross-functional partnerships, and represents the Library externally. It supervises approximately 27 staff and requires extensive research library preservation leadership experience.
