Provides civil legal information, guided referrals, and support to Legal Hand East Harlem. Responsibilities include overseeing call-in center operations, reviewing volunteer notes, maintaining case files and legal resources, assisting with grant reporting, recruiting and training volunteers, participating in clinics and outreach events, and identifying community legal needs. The role requires collaboration with attorneys, volunteers, community partners, and underserved populations.

Provides civil legal services to low-income clients with health-related legal needs at two weekly hospital clinics. Handles benefits, housing, employment, immigration, and advance-planning matters; staffs additional clinics as needed; trains and consults with medical professionals; and builds hospital-partner relationships. The position requires New York bar admission, in-person hospital work two days weekly, hospital clearance, and strong communication, research, writing, empathy, and problem-solving skills.

Provides paralegal support to LegalHealth attorneys serving low-income patients through a medical-legal partnership. Duties include client intake, legal document preparation, written and oral translation, advocacy with government agencies for benefits and services, administrative hearing representation, and periodic legal clinic coverage. The role handles high case volume, works directly with diverse clients and hospital partners, and assists with matters involving benefits, housing, employment, immigration, and advance planning.
