Lead behavioral assessments and intervention plans to increase adoptability, coordinate safe transfers with partner agencies, mentor staff and volunteers, monitor behavioral health, document outcomes, assist with adopter counseling and transport, and perform compassionate euthanasia when necessary to prevent suffering and uphold welfare standards.

Lead day-to-day operations of the Carson animal shelter, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, population management, community engagement, budgeting, and outcomes (adoption, transfers, return-to-owner). Recruit, train, and manage teams, enforce protocols, collaborate with clinical teams, and continuously improve shelter operations and metrics.

Develops program-focused content (writing, photography, video, design) to promote Nevada Humane Society programs. Manages website pages, email campaigns, social media, basic paid ads, event support, analytics, and community/media outreach. Safely handles animals for promotional purposes and collaborates across teams to drive engagement and fundraising.
