Lead development of a financial API platform: build .NET microservices, modernize and add APIs, optimize API performance via SQL/query tuning, integrate with backend systems, and support API monetization.

Design and lead software architecture and technical strategy; create architectural blueprints, recommend tools and technologies, improve system design, perform architectural and code reviews, and occasionally implement code (PHP/Java/Go/Python). Work with microservices, queues, caching, Docker/Kubernetes, and collaborate with product and engineering teams on large-scale software and ecommerce platforms.

Own and grow the PayFast value-added-services (VAS) portfolio in South Africa by managing P&L, optimising existing products, developing new offerings, driving revenue and profitability, and supporting cross-functional commercial growth initiatives through data-driven insights and stakeholder collaboration.
